What Is Acne

Soft, beautiful skin. Acne free skin. You too can have the best of both worlds. But in order to address acne problems, it is important to understand thy enemy well!

All of us must have an experienced a pimple here or an acne there. Acne doesn’t discriminate and affects teenagers, adults and can be found on face, neck, chest, back, shoulders, and upper arms. Pimples and acne are as much a health issue as a beauty blight; a sign that something’s not right below the surface. Stress, a less than perfect diet or hormonal imbalance can all cause your skin to erupt. Acne also encompasses clogged pores, pus filled lumps and cysts, blackheads and whiteheads.

Though teens are more prone to acne attacks, it also affects adults way past their high school years! In adults, stress is the number one trigger of adult breakouts. Stress encourages the production of excess oil and sebum. You know what this means-ACNE! Hence, please ensure you get adequate exercise and relaxation. As adult skin varies from that of a teenager’s, you will have to make sure you are using the correct the right cleanser for your skin type.
